Young variety originated from Slovakia in 1998 as a result of cross-breeding of Tramin Cerveny with Veltinske cervenobile. Green - yello hue, distinctive aroma, moderately spicy taste reminding ripen grapefruit. Often very extractive, harmonious wine, sometime getting bitter with longer storage.

Advised to accompany saucy meat dishes and, in semi-dry version, also cheeses and desserts.

Good example:

Děvín, výběr z hroznů (selection from grapes) ,2009, vineyard Baloun

12,5 %, semi-dry wine, price: 11 euro.

Pleasant sprakling colour, delicate aroma of fruit and honey with traces of roses and spices. Harmonious taste of spices and fruit finished off with honey after-taste.

Awarded Silver medals in Vinalies Internationales Paris 2010 and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2010, bronze in IWC San Francisco.
