Veltlínské zelené

Characteristics...
Also known as Grüner Veltliner; variety originated in Austria and transferred with huge success to Moravian soil where it is grown in bulk. Large bunches consist of yellowish grapes, juicy and moderately sweet. Wine itself has golden green colour smelling of pepper, bittler almonds and lime flowers. Taste is similar, sometimes spicy, pleasantly acidic, in best cases velvety exotic. As a medium-bodied, balanced, dry wine it is very popular and makes it favorite table choice for wide variety of foods - especially cold meats, and neutral sauces.
